Chai and my African baskets

.
African baskets (my collection continues to grow!) and Chai tea.
I have a weakness for both.
Especially Chai tea . It's been my favorite tea for a long time.. At one stage I was buying it in bulk to keep up my supply!  I love the ritual of preparing the tea. It's a little pocket of my day to, slow down, take a deep breath, and be mindful of the moment.

How to prepare a brew.
Boil water in saucepan.
Add Chai tea. 1 level teaspoon per cup.
Simmer for 1 minute, add one third to two thirds milk or soy milk.
Strain into cup or teapot..
Add honey to taste.......delicious!

(This is my favorite Chai  I like the box it comes in too!.).

Hello Judith,
for a long time I used such a basket.

I bought it on a french market. But now you can buy these baskets all over the world!
:-)

ah, chai and baskets, both totally delicious. we are very lucky as that chai is our local chai, the owners are lovely, generous and found everywhere. xx

Jay, it's Repton isn't it, a beautiful little spot. I used to buy it in bulk and the arrival of the delicious smelling box on my door step was something I always looked forward to. Sadly the person I first contacted there, passed away a few years ago. He was lovely and I think one of the founders of Chai Tea. xx

Love your basket collection and your tea photo, Judith. I am addicted to finding those "little mindful pockets" in my day as well, my tea ceremony is slightly shorter than yours as I use a tea bag and a water boiler, but I'm sure that we enjoy the experience in exactly the same way! My favorite teas at the moment are from the Yogi brand. xo Karen

Thank you Karen :) and yes no matter what our tea ritual, I am sure we do enjoy it in the same way! xx
