Look upom my garden....

It has been a warm weekend here in Melbourne...perfect weather for spending some time out in my jungle of a garden!
There are trees and plants that need some pruning back
some weeding to be done, though the weeds don't bother me too much....they eventually disappear underneath the lush foliage!
I hope to plant some Summer vegetables in my vege plot as well as some Lavender bushes in other parts of my garden. Lavender is one of my favorite plants...i just love the calming scent of the flower
Lots of birds visit the garden, especially Magpies (above). The Magpie has a lovely warble (song) but they are very brazen birds and  we've had several tiptoe through the open french doors and have a peek inside!
There was a light sprinkle of rain later in the day........perfect!!
I am looking forward to the days ahead....
dirt on my hands,
and the sun on my back!

Hello! Thanks for stopping by my blog! :) Love your spring/summer pictures of your garden! Such vibrant colors.... Here it's the opposite now; autumn/winter, dull colors... Makes me want to visit Melbourne :)

I really like your garden a lot. I think I've mentioned this already commenting on some of your previous post.
PS. Thanks for the Rum Diary tip. Good books are always something very special. And not every people appreciates the same things.

Sounds like you have your work cut out for you! I love the idea of a vegetable garden.

I guess there are some limitations to having a balcony as a back yard (I do have Lavender though)!

hope your week is off to a good start.
